Top 7+ Online Transcription Jobs for Beginners

The transcription work is near and dear to me that I read and consider for my unemployed life.  This is my first choice working from home job, In the beginning of my "after collage life".
Although I did not have experience with transcription, I applied after being passed a transcription test and (thankfully) hired.

That job introduced me to the world of work at home, and since then I have been working remotely.

Working as a transcription helped me through difficult financial times.

And so when someone reaches out to me about working from home or making extra money online, I am always ready to suggest transcription work.

Fortunately, there are companies that offer online transcription jobs for beginners.  In fact, I've compiled a list of some transcription jobs online - no experience required! Some of them are here-

 1. TranscribeMe!
TranscribeMe!  Posts online transcription jobs for English and Spanish typists.  The first phase is filling out a form.  After that, you will be directed to take a test.

If you pass, someone from their operations department will contact you within 48 hours to discuss the next steps (if you get a failure, you can re-do the exam in 24 hours).  Paid per audio hour.  Payment is made every week.

2. Scribie
Scriby is where many aspiring typists go when they first look for online transcription jobs.  There is a waiting list of thousands (yes, thousands!).  They pay worldwide and pay through PayPal.  The pay rate is $ 10.00 / audio hour.

If you complete three hours of audio in a month, you will receive a bonus of $ 10.00.  There are pros and cons for Scribe.  The opposition is low pay.  Even as online transcription jobs for beginners, they pay very little.  But on a positive note, there are no cash out limits and no commitments (work as little or as much as you want!).

3. Tiger fish
Tigerfish Online offers flexible transcription jobs online.  They have a wide variety of available tones (focus groups, interviews, law enforcement, documentaries).  To be considered for paid projects you must complete three five-minute tests.

It should take you about 20 minutes to complete these five-minute tests (if you are running beyond the 20-minute mark per test, transcriptioning may not be worthwhile for you).

4. Acutran Global
Accutran Global is "always" interested in hearing from the new transcriber.  At this time, they are not hiring until March 1, 2019.  However, Accutran is seeking experienced voice writers / stenographers based in the US and Canada.

Keep in mind, they have peak times when a ton of work is done and non-peak times of the year when no work can be done.

The pay rate is from the term ($ 0.005 to start).

Payment is made on the 15th of each month.

You must pass a transcription test to be considered.  Accutran Global is not ideal for parents or caregivers who are responsible for others;  You are expected to fulfill your claim ASAP.  In other words, you may not have any distraction that delays your turnaround time.

5. CastingWords
The casting guide has two ways for transcriptionists to find work: the casting encryption workshop and the Mechanical Turk.  Through his workshop, he has online transcription jobs in 66 countries.

Through Mechanical Turk (MT) you will never know what you will find — sometimes a ton of HITS (MT lingo for jobs) and other times, hardly anything happens.  Pay rates vary from job to job, but you need $ 1.00 in your account to request payment.

6. Daily transcription
Daily Transcription provides corporate, legal, and entertainment transcription with a turnaround time of a single day (hence the name!).
There are no guaranteed hours or amount of work available, but they are always looking for transcriptionists at all experience levels as long as they are reliable.

The work is available on an as-needed basis.  To get started, all you have to do is submit a short form and then access their test page.

7. Bam!
Bam!  Most entertainment offers transcription services, but they also carry out legal, corporate, finance, research and general transcription projects.  If you can pass a skills test, they will consider you as a contractor.

His application has not been found on his site.  You must contact them through their contact form or email them at bam@bamtranscription.com to express your interest as a potential typist.

8. Birch Creek Communications
Birch Creek Communications often hires legal and corporate transcriptions.  As far as transcription jobs for beginners are concerned, this is great because it will give you practice in the areas of transcription that usually require a few years of experience!

The pay rate varies depending on the type and length of the file.  If interested, you must submit an email check and begin to undergo the screening process.

Don't forget, you can jump right into the world of legal transcription by taking Transgender Anywhere anywhere.
